Set List 10/21/2007

Okay, so I’m actually typing this in Word at the airport on my way heading out of town. Hopefully, I’ll have an opportunity to post this late tonight or early in the morning.

It was a gigantic day for me personally – it’s the first opportunity I’ve ever had to teach during a weekend service. Make no mistake – I was incredibly nervous. Some of that nervousness had to do with the people in the room, but honestly, the thought of talking about the Word for 30-40 minutes without screwing it up and adding your own opinion in there is a daunting task for someone with as many opinions as I have. I take the responsibility of teaching the Word very seriously – so it’s been weighing on my mind very heavily in recent days.

I got to the theater early to make sure everything was ready to rock-n-roll. Setup ended up way behind because we had a couple of folks late and out of town this weekend. Also, Beth was supposed to lead almost everything this morning to make it easier to get my mind ready for teaching – she woke up sick this morning, so I could feel the pressure begin to mount. We started rehearsal about 30 minutes late. Usually that puts me in a real funk for the morning – but I really expected something like that to happen this morning, so it wasn’t a big deal when it actually did happen.

We did a short set up front so we could do some at the end of the service. We probably started the service about 3 minutes late, so it was good we cut down and rearranged.

G – Shout of the King
G – Holy Moment
